There's really no point in waiting because it will always be this way. Even moreso in the notebook market because once something happens in the Desktop world it takes longer to happen in Notebooks.

There has been talk that HP could have new models coming out soon. Nothing is concrete though. I heard they had one at this years Quake Con (where all systems had Athlon 64's and Nvidia GPU's), but that's it. I would hope they would buy...

I think its mainly because when most people think of Notebooks they think of Centrino and Intel.

Nothing now. My university put up a NAT so now I can even use mirc and get fast speeds. It's slightly faster than dail up. I am so angry. So now I gotta get Cable from one of the local providers at my relatives just to download anime...

I would go with the Ferrari or the Compaq, but its probably just me.

Its the same as the Compaq Presario R3000Z except for the case so look for reviews on those and there are a couple on the forums. I will be getting a R3000Z myself.

You will get fast download speeds, but don't count on using any P2P or even mirc. This year my University has blocked everything besides direct internet downloading.

I personally think there is really no reason not to get an AMD Athlon 64 unless you really need long battery life then of course go with the Pentium M Dothan or Banias. Or if you just don't like AMD. Other than that you get small...
