Did you take pictures of the packaging prior to opening it up? Might be important to have document the "as-delivered" state so that you can later claim damages or assign blame if your laptop develops problems later on.
I've never really noticed the supposed slowness from my 4200 rpm drive, but since I don't game and my old computers were so slow anyways, this laptop feels like a breeze... all relative I suppose.
