I've been using this in my XPS Gen2 for the last 3 years. I took it out to send in my notebook for some repairs and they deemed it unrepairable and sent me a 1710 which uses a different interface. I think I paid 60 or 80 bucks back...

Where did you hear that the tosh was brighter? Everything I've read says the CMO has the brighter screen & better viewing angles. The tosh seems to have better color accuracy. Which one do you like better?
