Damn, I really had to dig to find this thread again. Ozy, I was having the same prob with mine. Yesterday I threw in the 7800 and so far have not seen any throttling. Default throttle temp is 115c and the highest temp I have attained...

I just replaced this today with the 7800. It has never been oc'd, taken apart or modded. I have had no problems whatsoever with this card. It scores 5300+ at stock settings. 6800ultra up close 3Dmark05 score Sitting above...

Thank you Hammer! I ran it up to 450 1200 with no probs, 7329 , 82 max temp, Xtreme G 81.94-quality drivers. Played a little BF2, awesome. I'll try higher when I grow a couple. I backed it down to 435 1150, still gives me over 7k.

I had a sager 3790 prior to this and the XPS2 is better built. My 3790 creaks when you pick it up. So do my HP's at work. The XPS is solid.
