just a guess but the module is most likely ipw3945. It's ipw2100 for my 2100 card. Try to modprobe the module. It may or may not be there already. Just not in the modules.autoload. here's the source forge page....
the boot.ini has no bearing on the no operating system found. It is generally indicitave of either a failing HDD or controller. try removing and reseating the drive or drives.

When I killed IE7 via uninstall IE6 was still there. check in c:\windows\ie7 there should be an spuninst in there. If it is you're safe to uninstall. I'll look for the IE6 install files. Here you go....
as to #2. What mouse are you using? You'll probably need to adjust your xorg.conf for the specific mouse, number of buttons etc.
