I don't get it! I tried the SP1 update and still same error. This sucks! I don't want to have to reinstall my whole operating system! Is there any repair feature from the XP disk?

Initially I tried system restore and it did nothing. I think AVG removed some infected files or something. I also tried the clock thing. Nothing. I am thinking of reinstalling the SP1 update? Any thoughts? Thanks

couldn't you essentially just unplug the light from the motherboard? Wouldn't hurt anything? Does the bytecc heat up too much? Thanks
