The 8886 monitor looks ok from side to side it just have a very limited viewing angle from top to bottom. Also it is rather bright, where blacks never really look black. The sony monitor was perfect no matter how you looked at it.
B.T.W. I got the 8886-s w/2.5GHZ, cd-burner and 512 megs of ram for like $2200 to my door. This sony would only be around $2000.
