thanks, I found out how to do it. all I had to do is use the recovery cd, install and when it asked me to insert the disk after xp was installed, I clicked close and then went to the start up menu and deleted the auto reminder. ...

the problem is that with the recovery cd, it reinstalls all the junk that it came with. and if i use a windows xp cd that I have from my old laptop, it won't have the drivers. thanks for the reply though

I just got a Sony T-250p/l and I want to wipe out the useless stuff. How can I reformat the drive and then reinstall xp pro sp2 with all the drivers? Can anyone help? thank you in advance.
