Ok, so I have this old backup desktop that I use, 2.2amd single core, 2gb ram,nvidia 6100, xp32. I got a prompt to update to the nvidia driver 182.06 which was released about a week ago and I did and got a prompt to restart my computer....

I just noticed that the alienware m15x has the option to be fitted with an ati mobility radeon hd 3870. Is the 9800m gt better?

Well this wouldn't be an issue if AW supplies a vista 64-bit installation disc. Did you get an installation disc for xp on your alienware?

I'd like to see them charge less then 300$ for a jump from 1gb to 4gb ram. I agree with endugu on the outrageous price of accessories as well.

Oh, so I can copy my hdd to an external one, and boot it from that to dual boot with another OS?

I'm getting an m15x soon (yay!?) and I want to dual boot vista with another OS. I know this might be a silly question but as I understand the command centre and alienFX are apps so if I have to re-install vista will I lose those?
