well thanks guys, with your advice I'm confident I'm buying the right products. Looks like I can save over 500$ on buying the ram and hardrive elsewhere . Edit: Okay I found a HDD and RAM at Newegg.ca but I'm not sure if it's compatable...
if I wanted to buy an internal hardrive for the m15x from newegg would it be compatable as long as it was 2.5" and for notebooks? Or are there other requirements?
oh, I can get 2 x 2gb DDR-2 sodimm 667 MHz Kingston from newegg for 50$. Lol alienware charges 450$ Canadian to go from 1gb to 4gb. Ridiculous.
Thanks Fidget, I do live in western Canada, Vancouver actually. I guess I see the point of the price, like importing expensive wine I suppose. If I were to upgrade the ram would anything labeled 'ddr-2, 667mhz' work? I've never swapped...
