I just have a normal laptop, and when it's idle, it never gets hot ; As you say, in the store, the display laptop was probably idle most of the time

By the way, in the Wireless box I had to select something so I set that to -g- On the router it gives the Status as Ng, but I'm not in mixed mode. so that probably doesn't influence anything....I'm happy !!!

Hi Michelle, Good News ! I finally worked it all out (and not thanks to Intel). I logged into the router and set it to WPA2 AES encryption, "N" only. (it had to be WPA2 for N) Then went into Device Manager, and checked...
