uh...the 8890 doesn't have any ht problems that are known. the 8887's are capable of ht w/o a problem if you have the ht processor. the 8890's should be shipping the 22nd. just check the news section.
if the 4760 was a little too slow for you, then get a low end 5680. you should be able to afford one for 2,000 dollars. the difference b/w m9 and m10 will improve gaming along w/ the dual channel ram. more ram in a 4670 will help for...

(4x)squared + (3x)squared = 16 squared
16x squared + 9x squared = 256

x = 3.2
3.2*4 = 12.8
