That sounds right. The fan only spins constantly during game play. Rarely comes on during anything else (i.e. - web browsing). This won't damage anything will it?

Hi - the fan on my I 8600 constantly runs when playing Madden 05 and Halo. I'm running on battery power when playing and it wipes diminishes a lot quicker than normal. Is the constant fan running expected when gaming on an 8600?

Sele hit it on the head. I had it on backwards. Looks just like a Sony XBrite! (but at WSXGA+ res!!). But I noticed two pieces of dust under the screen. Damn, I don't want to go thru this again...Thanks guys!
