Does anyone know how often Dell and HP put out all new models of their notebooks? I'm betting the next set will all be DDR3. There's no rush for me to buy a notebook right now, so if I can wait 6 months for DDR3, then I'll do it.
I wonder how long until it's the standard? I'm going to go on a limb and say that by X-mas of 2009, most laptops will be DDR3...
It seems that DDR3 is showing up on high end notebooks. But will all laptop memory be DDR3 eventually? If so, then it's probably best to wait until DDR3 becomes the standard on laptops. I've been waiting to buy a 14.1 or 15.4"...
You're right! I'm surprised that DDR3 memory hasn't filtered down to the XPS series and the cheaper laptops. Does the laptop need to be on the bigger side to support DDR3? Dell...

Sounds like you have a virus that's eating up all the memory and CPU. I've had this situation before. Check the task manager to see what processes are taking up the resources.
