Where in the bios is where the bios suppresses the amount of ram one can use ?

How much memory does the chipset support in this 5315-2153, 2 gb or 4 gb because if it can support 4 gb, it might be worthwhile to use a 64-bit operating system instead of 2 gb which is a XP 32 bit system.

I don't know what you mean by the bios. Does the bios give you info on how much memory the laptop cn use ?

Djembe, Thanks for the info. Is the T9300 pin compatable with the Celeron 530 CPU ? Might it be easy to just pull out the 530 and apply thermal grease under the T9300 and its done ? If a new cpu is used, will I have to reinstall Windows...
