and just fyi, water cooling doesn't magically dissipate heat, it will still be blown into your room by means of the radiator.

My guess would be hardware failure. Maybe some component is overheating. I dunno how to check it but I just wanted to put the possibility out there that it isn't MS automatically. lol

any boot up disk of xp has the ability to get you to command prompt, get a friend who has a pc and have him make one thats what i did when i used to have just a desktop. and i am not sure what the key combo is to get to the menu...
do you have a floppy drive? If so, you can create a startup disk in any computer running the same version of windows. Then just pop the disk into the computer and one of the options will allow you to start the computer in command...
might be ur windowns cd is not bootable, in which case i'd recommend formatting and assuming u had found everything from the old hard drive u needed. if it were me, id just go to the command prompt and format it, but maybe running...
