wow is he ever going to be mighty pissed off. Yes he does have the 1006 board revision and at the time of buying it was scammed into thinking it would be upgradable in the future. Anyways, thanks for the info guys.

I am wondering if it matters what board revision or anything.. I am guessing that for the FX5700 it doesn't matter. He has the very first motherboard revision (766 chassis obviously) area 51m and currently has an FX5600 video...

I was actually waiting for this but I haven't got to see benchmarks yet. I am going to buy either the fx5700 or the quadro 1000 so hopefully somebody will post a 3dmark03 or at least some game benchmarks with it first.
