Nope. Removed panel. Still just a blank screen on external monitor. I will get a replacement panel I think, from eBay. Watch this (blank) space. Baz.

Good idea. I will do that. I would like to see how it all comes apart anyway then can maybe get a replacement if it still doesn't work. I'll report back later. Cheers. Baz

Hi Yes, the ext monitor immediately dropped into 'no signal' mode. Like when a PC goes into standby. Thanks for trying help. Maybe I ought to swallow this now and buy a replacement LCD screen. At least that will come on as...

I can't seem to get back to the 'blank' monitor now by continually press 'fn-F4'. It seems stuck on the smashed LCD screen.
