I just checked the dell site. The MR9800 is a 254.00 upgrade, the dvd burner is a 84.00 upgrade, so 1700.00 for a xps like you wanted without coupon at dell outlet is about right.

Yes, that sounds about right. Maybe even a little bit less then that. I think the MR9800 upgrade cost more then a DVD writer. Check the dell new laptop configurator to see the difference. I had a 120.00 coupon I applied too.

yes rogueone I wasted no time in ordering it. I have received a ship confirmation from Dell and I might see it before the weekend I'll keep you posted. Also I go down 301 to get to Richmond and its a little over an hour that way....
