Thanks for the reply. I tried the screen on 2 different laptops so I'm pretty sure that's what it is. It really is a minor thing. I will check how much a new screen is.
I have a D620 with 2 GB of Ram, 40 GB HD in very good shape. The only issue is a small flicker of lines on the upper left side of the screen. Any ideas what this could be worth? TIA

lol...I guess it's worth a shot. The OP's link said HP's newest BIOS fixed the issue. I see F3D is from 07 and 42 is from 09. Will give it a go. Will report back later on the results. I really appreciate the advice.
Just updated the BIOS to F42. Still no Wireless. Activity Light is Orange. Adapter not listed in Device manager. Reinstalled all drivers. Still nothing. WLAN is ENABLED in BIOS. (A USB Wirelss adapter works fine). I read for hours on...
