You never mentioned what type of router/access point you are trying to connect to. Have you looked at any firmware upgrades for your router?

I don't think you can. Go to http://www.everythingusb.com/ and do a search. There are a lot of forum discussions on this topic.

I have an Acer Aspire 2000 and I use the Waterfield Designs cargo bag. Check them out at: http://www.sfbags.com/index.htm They are a little pricey but the craftsmanship is outstanding.
