As of today, I was able to get them to replace the mainboard. It took several calls though ... Here is the info on the replacement: CPU is unchanged Mainboard chipset: Intel i910GML/i915GMS VGA chipset: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6600

techcec, I have the same laptop as you have. However, there is no problem with my laptop yet. Can you provide the model # of your board? Did they also change the CPU?
