thanks for the reply, I understand dropping the speed of the cpu but in a year if there are 4.8 or 5.2MHz CPU's even running at 533 it would be a lot faster. Even with hyperthreading, certain apps spike and keep the cpu over 80% now....

I have a 5670 with wireless g. only it requires a pcmcia card. it works great. advantage to having a removable wireless is that when I don't need it, it is not consuming power (or I don't have to remember to turn it off via software)...
