get the dell 9300. It will be around 3-4 times as fast as the gateway. Like jordan suggested, get 256 mb of ram from dell and buy a gig from newegg. Will cost roughly the same, maybe a tad more. But it will be worth it.
i would go for kingston as well. Never heard of gigaram as being either reliable or unreliable...havent heard anything about them at all actually.
