Hi, all. Awhile back I read a post of a registry edit which makes sure the computer recognizes the full size of the L2 cache on Pentium M chips. I can't find it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Thanks, P
I do have the 2200bg, and I never thought of just updating the driver. Thanks. It was the management program that gave me a headache - would not recognize my card - but on the other hand I just use the XP manager because it works best...
nah, get the 12 cell on the 3790. About a half pound, maybe less, of additional weight, and a lot more battery time. P
I concur with up to 5 hrs. on the 12 cell...I had both the 6 and the 12 cell and I highly recommend the 12. Of course, it depends on what you're doing, but even with heavy use you can get over three hours. Best, P
Hey, all, I tried the v9 driver for my wlan card (I have a 3790) and it did not work...would not recognize the card. So stick with anything under 9, so far... P

update your driver to 8.1.0.28 (on the Intel website, the highest version before the 9 series, which don't seem to work)...if you haven't already. The one that comes with the computer doesn't work all that well. P
Hey, an easy fix for the sound is a Boostaroo external booster...takes two AA batteries and gives the sound an overall kick (plus has three headphone jacks with no loss of sound)...does the trick for me, and no dicking around with...
