i have a D810 and the display is fine, viewing angles are great even at low brightness, there is no weird Sparkle and very very little light leak. I am really happy with it. I also need firewire for video editing so i bought a PCMCIA...
i have XGA, it works well for me, SXGA would probably be better, but i survive on the XGA, movies are very nice and games run very well.
ya, i'm not gonna bother flashing for a problem i don't have and some updated copyright info... but thanks for the heads-up.
ya i did that today i am now running at 768 ram at 400mhz, i figure having more ram thats a tad slower is better for now. Eventually i'll buy another stick of 512.
i don't use wireless often enough to notice. Next time i'm connected at school i'll watch out for ya.
on the D810 i can get 6 hours of websurfing and things like excel and word. Once i pop in a movie it's more like 4 hours. This is with no modular battery.
i bought my system from small buisness, I just told them i was going to use it for personal use, they didn't care at all. Cheers!
one thing to note, i have a D810 and have absolutly NO buzz, whine or any other kind of noise in my headphone port. I did not get the 56k internal modem on my system. It's possible this may be a factor? just thought it was worth letting...
ya my fans are listed at around 70k RPM's but man when you jump those things on high the temps just drop... was getting 30 degrees on the CPU
