i have the p8600 and 1066 mhz memory. the only reason i got the slower CPU was because i thought i was going to be able to overclock. but yeh i did contact dell and they were no help like you said GHN.

+1 with guru, that system will definitely make the other one look like childs play lol. although i like that your m1710 CPU was highly overclock-able but the t9600 cans it with its higher cache and possibly higher overclock-ability
