I actually don't have a virus scanner installed BUT, I've reformatted a number of times in the past few weeks, and with every fresh install of the OS, the problem still persists. Maybe I have reason to believe it's hardware related...

The hesitation starts after a while, but there's no rhyme or reason to it.... it could happen after 5 seconds, or it could happen after 30. That's what frustrates me the most I think.

I'd also like to mention that this problem is nonexistent on every other computer I've tested, including two Gateway laptops.
