I personally use the Vantec Lapcool 2. I have the M40 which is also a 15.4 widescreen. The cooler is actually too small, but the laptop body just sits on its feet without a problem. I posted pics a while back.......
I initially had a problem like this with my M40. I updated the BIOS and that seemed to fix the problem. So if you haven't, you should probably check Toshiba's website for any BIOS updates.
Try FutureMark A lot of people use 3DMark to benchmark their systems.
Actually, I previously owned that model, and once you upgrade to 1 GIG or more, the amount of memory shared with the video card is automatically set to 128 MB. In fact, you cannot even set it to anything lower then 128 MB through the GUI.
Did you try uninstalling? Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs Alternatively you could disable it from running at startup. Start-> Run -> Type 'msconfig' (without single quotes) -> click the startup tab -> now...
I agree with the others, that is one sweet deal. Great bang for your buck. Pop in an extra gig of RAM and that machine will sizzle with excitement.
Any time!
Oh and welcome to NBF! (Notebook Forums).
Copied and pasted directly off the Toshiba website: CHANGE HISTORY Version 1.60 09-26-2005 * Updated VGA BIOS to correct an intermittent blue-screen issue. * A change was made to correct an issue on computers...
