What do you mean by firmware and how do i do it...

I have just installed another working motherboard in A60 satellite but will not recognise the cd drive, i have tried 4 different drives but to no avail...anyone any ideas....by the way there is no OP system as yet so am stuck...Chris

Thanks for your reply, will strip it down...and the A60 has a built in memory on the motherboard hence i was getting POST before it packed in altogether. Cheers

I havent put any memory in it.. and to add insult to injury the bloody thing has packed in alltogether now...so i now have parts for sale..

Had a good look on there and nothing about cmos battery...you think i mite aswell install another motherboard and if so best place to buy one, preferably secondhand that works.. Chris

I dont but am charging up a battery thru that toshiba see if it doess the same, so you dont think its anything to do with the cmos battery then...and do you no where it is..!! Chris
