yeah its a new invertor for the dell 1520 laptop lcd is from a dell 1520(bought used but same model number and everything)

thats sucks, oh well seems like an alright laptop to keep around

yeah i would take it all apart again and make sure all the connecters are pluged it, expecially the cpu fan and video cable i would double check everything before turning it back on. damage could already be done though

laptop works great otherwise, it reconizes when the ac is removed and dims abit but just the screen isnt bright. if you through the settings and pick the brightness in the bios... it get brigher up until 6 or 7 then its darker after...

have the same laptop same problem yeah i wouldnt sell it with a baked card unless it was for parts or repair as they dont last

do any of the top blue lights turn on

ebay is the best place to buy that kind of stuff for cheap

dell is awesome for fixing laptops ..ussually dont get a problem from them
