from reading thru this thread is 'seems' clear that a fx3600m will work in a e1705...
when i purchsed the 7950gtx for my laptop i should have got the 3600m
but will a fx3800m work in a e1705?
has anyone tried it?
it is not bad deal... $300 is your assurance you laptop will be fine for the next few years
i spent about $300-400 upgrading my e1705
- some would say it was not worth it
but the reality is it is still my main pc and for older...

yes - thru the bios - ... within windows, throttlestop can be used to overclock extreme processors...
last year i had a blood rush with my e1705 and upgraded the processor , gfx card and harddrive to a ssd (ssd yet to install)
on various forums/ and reviews it appeared that the t7600g processor does not overclock that well and...

more specifically can the blu-ray reader from a m1730 be used as a blu-ray reader in a e1705
if so, upgrading the m1730 from a blu-ray 'reader'...
