from reading thru this thread is 'seems' clear that a fx3600m will work in a e1705... when i purchsed the 7950gtx for my laptop i should have got the 3600m but will a fx3800m work in a e1705? has anyone tried it?
how did u actually get windows 7 64bit running on a e1705... the chhipset is limited to 32bit software, which is the reason ram is limited to 3.25gb
it is not bad deal... $300 is your assurance you laptop will be fine for the next few years i spent about $300-400 upgrading my e1705 - some would say it was not worth it but the reality is it is still my main pc and for older...

Hi last year i had a blood rush with my e1705 and upgraded the processor , gfx card and harddrive to a ssd (ssd yet to install) on various forums/ and reviews it appeared that the t7600g processor does not overclock that well and...
definately sounds like a cooling issue... when was the last time you cleaned the inside of the laptop (ie vents fans etc) also, running the latest bios is also advisable
are only people from the usa able to get the extended warranty on gpu's?
this would be quite the app for a vanilla (non 'G' ) t7600

allo can the optical drive out of a m1730 be used (fit very good/perfect) in a e1705 more specifically can the blu-ray reader from a m1730 be used as a blu-ray reader in a e1705 if so, upgrading the m1730 from a blu-ray 'reader'...
