Thanks for the help. Put some tape on the battery to make it fit tighter and it now works perfectly.

So here's the problem. M17x purchased in december 09. Did a factory restore last night. Now whenever the ac adapter is unplugged computer immediately dies. Battery is enabled and showing full charge. 5 leds light up on battery....
