hey dave thanks, From what I saw it should not take but just a dap a glue to the outside of the connection on each end. which should keep the glue away from any metal conacts. Anyways, my replacement case and panel should be delivered...

yeah no kidding they are hard to find. Ebay has 0 and ztronics wants more than I can afford right now. the mobo itself it not hurt, just the white connection for the sound board is cracked and the 2 screw reciverers to secure the sound...

would a lighted M17x keyboard fit into and work on an M17. I am tired of seeing green, red, or blue and would like the change up of the additional colors the m17x keyboard offers.
