qhn, thanks for all your help. I noticed things look as I expect them to when plugged into AC. I thought I had the power profiles for AC and battery set to the same, but looks like I need to revisit them.

Hello, I just purchased a HP Pavilion dv6-3120us. Is there a way to adjust the display contrast. I have adjusted the brightness up and down, but a lot of lighter colors seem to bleed together. Thanks.
