He/she must have an hp printer. Hp solution has some of those programs that get added in.

You can remove it(IE) if you're comfortable with entering commands from console. I thought you had to but this site says different http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE

Yesterday I ran onecare live safetyscan and got clean bill of health. I tried to load attachments couldn't get the size below max upload limit.

This 1 includes testdisk, gparted will let you know what partitions are still there. http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php

Using test disk can recover your partition data if you haven't reformatted. And if you still have Pqservice you can do a full recovery from there.
