agfisher, we are in the same boat, I ordered mine on Dec. 20th, and went to phase 3 jan 3rd with an estimated ship date the first week of Feb, but Alienware did say I may actually get it early, we will see about that.
Hi, I just asked Alienware and they are not offering SATA drives at all nor drivers they only offer ATA 100 IDE Drives, but they did say the 7700 notebook can be upgraded to a SATA drive just they do not offer the upgrade at this time....
