Hi all, I am in the market for a new laptop in H108. It'll be Penryn-based, but after much fruitless searching I was hoping someone here might know whether we'll see notebooks based on the P35/X38/X48 chipsets anytime soon or if it's...
I am looking to buy a 5790 fairly soon with WUXGA and the 8700 video card. I know it's early days for this laptop but I hope someone can tell me that the 5790 can drive a WUXGA external LCD without problems. I have a Dell 2405FPW...
Build quality: very solid. It's not a lightweight laptop (the large battery/grip ensures that...), and the case material feels thick. I carry it around a lot and it does not seem in the least flimsy. So yes. Re the button: no,...

Also... check your pagefile size... check whether you have System Restore active (takes up disk space)... check whether Hibernate is enabled... check your Temp Internet Files folder size... All these things use up hard drive...
IIRC the 8890 had the capability for up to *3* onboard HDDs. Quote: Originally Posted by Rotorhead Um . . . 2 - 100GB HD's equal 200GB . . . Unless my math is off . . .
Some people here have eliminated their pagefile with 2 GB RAM; supposedly you get rid of the perf hit of paging data from memory to pagefile (disk slower than RAM). But in general usage, how much will tis speed you up? Probably not...
