I too experiencing the same problem, its happens very rarely when browsing with internet explorer.

boot with windows xp bootable disk -> choose recovery console ->at recovery console , scan windows partion with "chkdsk/R". Somtimes system registry will be corrupted and windows will not able boot as it was unable...
