yeah i feel the same way flip. I just got done applying it to the cpu, and was able to shave a couple of degress off that temp. now i just have to get a torx screwdriver and break it open again. so for the ram, you just reuse the thermal...
when you apply as5 to the processor, do you just apply it to just the gpu or the ram too? does the ram get hot enough for it to matter?
Well, I have stumbled accross something which could possibly be the signalling mechanism. It is the Simple Boot Flag Specification. It is described here by microsoft. I am investigating this currently.

Hey guys, I have been wondering and investigating the Dell Media Direct Feature for a while now. What I want to do is figure out how to detect when a media boot has happened and possibly program a bootloader like grub to detect this...
