I like Asus, so I will be bias on this. I will definitely go for Asus. specially for this comparison.
sure thinkpad is a good choice but I would also consider dell latitude or even the XPS considering your budget.  
I would go for Seagate... But if Western Digital is available, I would surely do it.
Have not tried bluetooth mouse but I guess battery usage will not be far different with wireless. Wireless battery use is not very earth friendly.

I still like avast for antivirus however it rank number 2 on my list... guess its a good step for microsoft.
