I agree with above. Make sure the device is plugged into a USB 2.0 port. Sometimes computers have USB 2.0 in the back, 1.1 in the front.

Oh gosh... I still game on my lappy, which has an nVidia geforce 5600, w/ 128MB. I seriously need a new desktop I just cant save enough money for one. Thanks everyone for making my computing feel really dated

If you have an nVidia card: control panel > NVIDIA nview desktop manager > Desktops tab > Properties Button > Check "Allow different backgrounds per display" just browse the two that you want.
