I paid 1300 pounds sterling. But I have to say, I'm not that impressed with the machine. Just me being picky, but for that cash, there is quite a wide choice out there now.

I've got the Cat drivers and done the mod thing, on power seems great, havn't had the guts to attempt a reboot on battery yet, just too busy, but will give it a try and let you know.

As to the first question, yup, attempted the recovery disks, attempted to locate updated drivers, everything. But what the heck, I don't us it much off of battery at the moment.

Yup, the 3000 is off acer uk also, but I've had it for 18 months now, and no complaints. But the 4005 on the other hand, does my head in.
