hmmm, that might be it too. I don't know just play around with your settings, but it would probably end up a video card being the problem. After I got a new 3d card the lines went away.
i had the problem with my old Desktop, but if I reboot it was still there, it was my Video card that was crap, well it was the Fan that didn't turn on. When I finally took out the video card the chip was soooo red it didn't dare touch it...
yeah, it was weird that I still played UT2K3 at the highest settings, and still no hickup! damn, that sucked if the slot is messed up. I don't feel like sending my lappy to them hehe.
