Well it seems that the CAT5 cable has to be plugged into another converting unit - not directly inside the Ethernet connector of your computer. But thank you for the idea, I'll try to find more information about this stuff. Cheers
FireWire over RJ45 ? They say it's an extension for a cable tester.
