Also, this problem occured after switching to the Omega drivers based on the ATI Beta drivers. Also after updating the BIOS to .10 if either of those points help at all.

I've had this same issue as well. From what I can tell it seems as if the video card is being pushed til it overheats. I usually have to wait a while before playing again. No fix for it at the moment...still investigating...
