thankyou qhn, It's up and running now, it's a lot faster than it was before.I fail to see why changing the power jack has improved it's speed though

I would if I could find it. I fitted a similar jack, Testing it tomorrow, IF I get it all back together ...lol

I have recently removed the motherboard from one of these, with great difficulty. The power jack socket is faulty and after hours of searching, cannot find a new socket.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm a new member, so perhaps you will forgive me for posting in it. I have just had this Clevo/Logiq model M76s notebook given to me. I have only ever had desktop PC's, so laptop's are new to...
