Yes, as well as OS!
As far as I remember, if you call Alienware Tech Support while you're installing the part, there won't be a problem. I believe its also standard (and might even be a law) that if a product has "user replaceable" parts, end...
I would recommend you get them from Alienware as you will be gauranteed they will work. You can try them at rjtech.com, but last I heard, they no longer had them. If you need two cards, what are you using? And yes, if you do purchase...
Same...grrr.. they forgot the tv tuner remote and coax adaptor
go to your bios and see if its recognized, windows xp as far as i know will only show 3.5 gigs regardless of how much ram you have. the other 1.5 is supposedly allocated by windows for i/o memory.
if you didn't order the tv tuner, some of the ports will remain unused.
thank you.. :P i'll be switching back to xp when i get my machine too, good to know the drivers are there. say, evil, what version of drivers did you d/l from laptopvideo2go.com?
I'm assuming regular XP drivers won't work as you need signed drivers?
I just realized that, when I checked a few weeks ago, they had none... even so I believe Vista with a new system is cheaper than the OEM version you get off newegg. I could be wrong
Hmm... didn't Hammer order right when the machine came out? I would assume the wait to be a bit longer as usual when first ordering a brand new system. Maybe the delay may be due to the fact that the 9700 and 9750 are the same chassis...
