what memory did you replace it with? i have a macbook pro also. i have been looking at either Crucial or Samsung.

still interested in the monitor possibly if you decide to part it out

Also i would recommend getting Crucial ram or OWC ram for your Macbook or Macbook Pro.

My recommendation is to get VMWare Fusion or Parallels instead of Bootcamp. I use VMWare and love it.

Sorry to not clarify, i was really only pointing out specs on the MBP. I wouldn't jump for joy over this but it is the biggest change in a while. I myself am gonna stick with the MBP SR, since i don't really care about the touchpad.
