i feel like 512mb is plenty enough and I've been playing World of Warcraft on my 700m just fine. Now I'm not saying i won't jump on 2x512mb sticks if the price is right, but 512mb should be fine for almost every laptop user.

i love it, i just don't like how the line of sight has to be abosutely perpendicular to see the screen. sucks when i'm on the lappy trying to show my gf something and I have to move the screen around until she says she can see it.

Georgia Tech I take it every day to my 1.5 hour long classes and surf the net or play games whenever it starts get boring. never use it to do work which was supposed to be its main purpose.

i'm sitting in class right now on my 700m If you think you can keep high grades and still have your laptop in class, then I'd go for the 700m for portability. Otherwise get the 8600 which is kind of portable to. My best friend has one...
